As the owner of Heart Felt Play Store I don’t want this updated note to be commercial or self -centered, but some things we all must be aware of. While southern United States is overwhelmed with recovery from recent hurricanes life will not be business as usual for any one for a very long time even if you are living in a safe state.. I hope we as Amercians continue to show compassion for our fellow Americans whose lives have changed by Harvey and Irma. A we watch and wait to see what Jose’ will do..
On a personal note I have sat on pins and needles waiting for news on the safety of family and friends. I held my next door neighobrs hand for word on her family in Texas.
Gratefully my old Iowa classmates with homes in Texas and Florida are safe.
Yesterday I received news that my niece and her young family are still staying in a hotel far from their Florida home, with a mess to go home to in 95 degeree heat. But, they are safe. It seems that they had ordered a new generator weeks ago before Harvey was hit and before Irma was forming. Well, the generator never made it and they have been with out electricity for some time now. It is most likely that generators had headed to Texas. Getting your hands on a new generator will be very difficult for every one this year now. Personally, we in Colorado Springs , Colorado are anticipating a bad winter. Will we have genertors available?
What does the shortage of generators have to do with YOU and Heart Felt Play Store? The answer won’t be a simple but the devasting affects of disasters of this magnitude from Harvey and Irma affects the entire country far beyond the horrific loss of homes and lives of strangers and will do so for many years to come. All states will feel the Butterfly affect as many will conintue to grieve..
- The price of gas will go up.
- Shipping and mailing cost will be affected. Shipping of any goods will have had to be re-routed, no matter where you live. It will all depend on where the goods are starting from and how they get there the destination.
- We take so may things for granted. We expect groceries to be on the store shelves at our beck and call.But what happens with the refrigertor trucks can’t roll or the airplnes can fly?
- We expect pay checks. But what happens when the the place you work or the head quarters gets blown away?
- We are spoiled. We all expect to get a prompt reply when we send an email or a question on a contact form, but get no reply. What if the power is out and internet is down in the area of that business?
For for me, personally, this last March everything seemed to shut down over and over and i was very ill. This all cause me to about a week delay in reponding. I had a few customers very upset spamming my messenages and I had no way to reply. As soon as i could, I walked, sick as a dog over snow piles and ice to get the orders out special delivery out of my own pocket. and refunded money for a upset costumers. I will never risk my life again for any customer who demand special orders be sent across country in an unreasonable amount fo short time when the Denver airport is shut down for days.
Please note: Heart Felt Play Store is nestled in the Rocky Mountains. I can see Pikes Peak from my home. I can see Norad towers..you know where Santas sleigh is tracked from?
. And if I take the #5 bus I can ride by the Olympic Trainer Center.
If I take I-25 i can be at the Denver airport in 90 minutes.
I can go skiing if I want to, but, most of the time all year around I wear capris and sandals rather than snow boots and warm coat that I keep in the back of my closet. We are expected big snow storms this year…are you following me? This old No Non-cents Nanna is not trying to be rude, just a snarky.
I’m warning you, if you need ANY thing by a certain date, don’t wait! Stuff happens! Harvey and Irma will certianly be affecting everyones upcoming weather and the supplies of everyone’s goods, not just the little fun trinkets from my Heart Felt Play Store. What you will see at the grocery store, the hardware store or ven my favorite Dollar Tree will be seeing the affacts of the hurricanes. Please plan ahead for every thing.

Inventory is purchased whole sale from our long-time favorite supplier who has been in business for over 80 years. Their warerhouses in the United States. What this means to you is your orders will never be lost at sea for 2 months as we do not drop ship. Your orders are inspected and hand packed by No Non-cents Nanna, personally, then mailed via USPS from our Heart Felt Play Store home in Colorado.
Every order is now photographed with your merchandise and addressed package. the images are sent to you.

Typically orders are processed and mailed from the US Post Office within 24 hours and happliy arrive with in 3 to 5 business days. - The hand-crafted proved to not be cost effective so they are being phased out except by special order. Yet, Nanna has a closet full of fabric purcashed from Jo Ann Fabric before they sadly went out of business. ( Small swatches of materials at low prices are not so easy to come by.)
- Manufactured items are consistent is sizes, colors and trims are purchased in bulk quantities at wholesale by Heart Felt Play Store then divided up into smaller quantities to be sold to you at retail prices that are usually perfect for an average size child’s party of 5 or 6 guests. - Heart Felt Play Store is old fashioned in the way business is done: not a Drive Thru’ for FAST FOOD. We do not have a warehouse of products. Only the itmes in the store’s catalog are ready to go.
- Yes, customers may special order a minimum of 30 days in advance. Special orders are subject to material being available and cost of those material which may change. Customers will recieve a confirmation email of the price you will be charged. A special catalotg page will be published for your special order to make it easy to pay for by credit or debit card.
- In the event of customers living in the Colorado Springs area, currently, we do not have a POINT of SALE location. ALL items will be sent by US mail. Pick-up at my home is not allowed. ( Divas Doing Business has a specail exemption code.)
