One BERRY Happy Baby Gets Messy!

New parents, expect your babies to get messy when they learn to feed themselves. Messy is a necessary part of growth and development. Learn to take messy all in stride.

No Non-cents Nanna’s youngest grandchild is cute as a bug eating berries, don’t you know! (Wearing the berries, too!)

Six years later this No Non-cents Nanna and the baby in the image are still getting messy and having fun.

Babies explore their world by putting everything in their mouths. It is a healthy and natural part of growth and development that all babies/ children to enjoy…so lighten up, folks.

Just hose ’em off at the sink! All kids can be washed up with water and a few wash clothes.

Sure it was messy!

But, let me tell you this babe, now 6 years old, makes healthy eating choices. If you follow No Non-cents Nanna blogs or explore No Non-cents Nanna’s Heart Felt Play Store this baby is the model known as Sophie-Do-It.

Too much fun and and a bit messy. Put a cookie sheet underneath the foaming concoction.

Plain old fashioned tongue depressors or craft stick are wonderful for open ended exploring…not messy at all.

Because of the fact that infants and small children under the age of 3 explore by putting things in their mouth never give a tot anything small than what can fit into the diameter of a toilet paper tube. The US product safety commission requires labeling like this:

Safety guidelines include:

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

The symbol is a triangle with an ! in the middle

  • The way a small child needs to cuddle objects
  • How things are attracted to objects that are like themselves, babies/child like, baby animals small etc
  • Their developmental stage – abilities, attention spam
  • Their physical development – manual dexterity, body strength
