Well, I’d say pretty much any kitchen utensil you have that the kids can’t get hurt on. ( age appropriate.)
- plastic cups
- plastic spoons
- colanders
- pots and pans
- bowl and tubs
- measuring tools
- turkey baster
- coffee filters
- funnels
- medicine syringe or medicine cup
- what did I miss?
Your child may want to pretend to be a doctor or nurse. Handling tools for measuring medicine help children feel more comfortable with taking medication or going to the doctor. Parents should be sure to teach children the difference between real and pretend as well as setting safety boundaries to not take the real medicine mom or dad give with the doctor’s orders.
